KJGA Well-Represented at State Golf Championship

The 2026 HHSAA David Ishii State Golf Championship brought together the best boys high school golfers from across the state of Hawaii to compete at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course on Oahu. In all 7 KJGA boys made it to the state tournament.

The Kauai High School team captured 4th place team honors led by senior Stirling McLoughlin who shot 76/82 158 to finish in a tie for 18th place. Rounding out the field for the Red Raiders were freshman Caleb Ito shooting 84/79 163 for a tie for 32nd, junior Renyn Lee shooting 84/83 167 for a tie for 44th place, junior Caleb Taba shooting 83/87 170 for a tie for 56th place and sophomore Shane Murphy shooting 94/90 184 for 86th place. Kapa’a HS senior Logan Laymon shot 84/79 163 to finish in a tie for 32nd. Waimea HS senior Koy Tsukayama shot 83/77 160 to finish T26.

Overall, a great showing by the boys from Kauai.
